WLUW is a Radio Station staffed by a combination of Loyola University Chicago students and non-student community volunteers. WLUW has more listeners than any other volunteer-driven station in the Chicago area over 23,000 each week. WLUW provides a wide array of programming for Chicago’s diverse communities – from our support of local and independent artists in our music format, to issue-oriented programming on topics like labor (“Labor Express”), the media (“Counterspin”), and underreported news and cultural stories (“From the Heartland,” “Radio Nation,” “From the Trenches,” “The Eighth Day”, to shows in six different languages. The support of the communities we serve is crucial for our continued existence.
